Edward-1547
Government-1553 he wrote papers about his close interest relating to the privy council. Northumberland was able to control the King’s Privy council and also appointed his close friend to control the dry stamp of the king’s signature. However it could be said that Northumberland was rumoured to have influence the king to propose matters that were in his gain.
1552 a special council was set up so that Edward could attend council meetings once a week. There were also new articles set up to inform the king of the its running
Somerset: He was an Erastian Protestant. Under him, the treason laws were repealed and the Chantries Act was brought in in 1547.
Privy Council: Efficiency decreased. Competition between Somerset and Northumberland. Used for rivalry
Parliament: Called 5 times in 6 years. Needed for money and passing of the Edwardian reformation.
Religion-1547 Chantries Act forbade prayers for the dead.
