你好 nǐ hǎo- Hello (knee how)

早上好 zǎo shàng hǎo- Good morning (zaw shang how)(zao shang means morning in chinese, and obviously hao means good)

再见 zài jiàn- Goodbye(ziy gen)

老师好 lǎo shī hǎo -Hello teacher(law sher how) (lao shi is chinese for teacher)

忙不忙?máng bù máng-Are you busy?

很忙 hěn máng- very busy

不忙 bù máng- not busy

In Chinese, hen means very, and bu means not.

你叫什么? nǐ jiào shen me -what is your name? (literally this means ‘you are what’ because shen me means what)

我叫 wǒ jiào - I am

他 tā - he (in chinese, there are two ways to say he or she, that are said in the same tone. However, this difference is the character. If you can see, the front of the character's are different. The front of the one for a male (that looks like a weird t) is used for males, and the other one that looks like a weird deckchair (i always think so anyway) is for a woman. This also appears in 'hao' or good because it is believed that a woman with a child, or more specifically a son, is good) .

她 tā -she

If you want to say your name, your say:

wo jiao.... (and i'd say Fu!)

or for someone else, just simply say

ta jiao... (cara, or whoever)
